A mountain cabin does not have to be made from logs and antlers. A modern vocabulary works very well in a mountain setting. The Levy residence is an 1800 square foot cabin that takes full advantage of its incredible site. On the main upper level extensive glass walls and a large exterior deck connect living to the outdoors. The exterior walls, roof, windows and doors are all metal for fire resistance. Although metal is popular modern material it is also an historic, vernacular material used in mountain construction though out Colorado.
